Sign Up for Access
Before being able to submit to OSHA's ITA through Aclaimant's integration, you must sign up for access on OSHA's website. You can begin that process by going to this URL: https://www.osha.gov/injuryreporting/ita/
Below is the login screen you will find:
You will walk through the process to set up access. Once you have this set up for your company, you will gain access to an API Token (seen in screenshot below). This token is unique to your entity and will be needed to set up within Aclaimant. You can access this by visiting this URL: https://www.osha.gov/injuryreporting/ita/account/api-token
Now that you've received an API key set, the next step is to contact Customer Support to get that applied to your settings within Aclaimant.
Data requirements
OSHA has strict requirements that surround validation of data being submitted. For example, the total number of incidents must equal the sum of the different injury categories.
Currently within Aclaimant, data validation will not be conducted within the platform. This is due to our application not enforcing that a customer supply a complete data set to use Aclaimant's OSHA reporting feature.
To ensure this works properly on your end, you will want to make sure that a full data set is available to submit via OSHA's Injury Tracking Application. This includes:
-
OSHA Annual information uploaded for the establishment and year, with all three columns containing values.
-
A full set of OSHA keys in the complex option integration. This includes a valid six-digit NAICS code.
-
A fully completed Form 301a for each incident included on the report, including fields that are not required on the form template.
💡: Within Aclaimant's OSHA record-keeping feature, you have the ability to submit directly to OSHA through its Injury Tracking Application, commonly referred to as ITA.
