💡: To manage policies your Roles must have the Access users and organization settings permission enabled. To change your Role or update your Role’s permissions contact your Aclaimant Customer Experience Manager or email support@aclaimant.com.
Where to Find Your Policies
You can now access your policies by clicking the Policies tab in the main navigation bar (located between Assets and Inbox).
- Note for existing users: If you navigate to the old location at Settings > Policies, you will now see a placeholder message directing you to the new top-level tab.
Adding a New Policy
To add a policy to the system:
- Navigate to the Policies tab.
- Click the green New policy button located on the far right of the filter bar.
- Enter the required policy informationÂ
- Enter the Carrier, Policy number, and under the Periods section, at least one Effective date and Coverage type.

- Save by clicking Create Policy your new policy
Note: Best practice is to set up your related contacts at the time the policy is added to Aclaimant. To do this navigate to the Contacts sub tab in the Settings tab and set up the Contact that you'd like the policy affiliated with and submitting forms/attachments to. Please review this article to complete those steps.Â
Editing a Policy
Editing a policy no longer redirects you to the Settings menu. You can now make changes directly within the Policies tab.
- Click on the name of the policy you want to update from the list and click the Edit button.

Scrolling down in the policy, you will see an Upload button within the policy Periods section. You can select this Upload button to upload policy documents.
Note: Manual updates can also be made in this view. Update fields such as Carrier, Policy Number, and Description directly in the view. - ​​While uploading a document, you will have the ability to select the Carrier type. This is a multi-select dropdown to ensure you can select that these documents are regarding multiple lines of coverage.
- Once there is a document uploaded, there is also an option to download documents.
- Click Update Policy at the bottom of the page to save your changes.
Viewing Related Records
All records linked to a policy are now housed within the new location. When viewing a specific policy, you will see tabs (e.g., Summary, Claims) that allow you to view all related claims and data associated with that specific policy without leaving the page.
